Last Mod for a while
So I got a few new parts put on and they're going to be the last mods for a while I think. I need to start saving up for a house so scooter money will be allocated to house money. Sucks, but do what ya gotta do haha. I got a foot brace and some pegs to make the ride more comfortable, thing is they actually make is slightly less comfortable due to the height of the seat. I need to get a lowered seat frame...someday.

Bottle opener/hat rack
State of the Ruck address
So as you can see this is not good... The Ruck has been down for quite sometime b/c I've been messing with the carb. I bought a larger one to instal b/c in theory more air=more power. From my research a lot of people say that the big carb is too much for a 49cc engine to handle. I'm not so sure about that, but what I am sure of is it is a pain in the ass to tune. So much so that after about 2 months of fucking with it I ripped it out and sold it. I have gone back to the stock carb but I have still altered the air intake system. So I need to tune and jet this carb but it's cold as balls right now and it gets dark at 230 in the afternoon. I also ordered a complete stock intake system from a Total Ruckus member which came today. This way I can see if I've just totally fucked the carb up, or if I just need to jet it. To do this up right, I need to invest in an air/fuel ratio gauge. This are mad expensive, about $300 or so. I am hoping I find one I can rent or borrow. Maybe I should just take the plunge and buy one b/c I'll have to go through this whole process again.
This is what it looks like w/o the stock air box. Pretty sick if I do say so myself, I need and extension kit.
I also ordered a Daytona Gas tank cover from another TR member. Hopefully I will have that in about a week or so. Not it won't look like ass w/o the floor board.

Ruckus Family Reunion
Can't believe I forgot to post this. Sunday Aug 31st we held the first Ruckus Family Reunion. It was great, we saw a serious accident involving a Lexus SUV, got some great grub at The Loveless Cafe, and rode on the Natchez Trace. Which, if you've never been it is gorgeous. Absolutly amazing. So amazing in fact that we are going back to do it again on Oct. 12th.
Here are a few snapspots from along the way:
Ruckus' or is it Rucki or Rucks or Ruckuses?
Next to the big boys at the Loveless.
A lot of people ask what the gas mileage is like, here's me filling up.
and NOT me...
New mods
I've fallen a bit behind in blogging. Sorry, I'm pretty sure no one reads this tho so who really cares.
I added these, which were a pain in the ass. Biggest PITA so far, I actually messed up my hand while adding these things.
They add some stiffness to the clutch, which gives me better acceleration.

The next things were hella easy. I added a new NGK Iridium spark plug. Gives a better spark, hopefully it will run better in colder weather too which is just around the corner.

I also added a new spark plug wire. Again, should optimize the spark. James told me that spark plug cables do actually make a difference so I'm gonna trust him.

Tonight, I added the Posh Racing Ignition, supposed to provide more spark to the plug and offer a smoother idle. We'll see tomorrow.
